The Il-96-400M is a wide-body long-range airliner which is created on the basis of the production Il-96 aircraft for the purpose of further development of this type of aircraft and increasing their transport capabilities due to the longer fuselage and more powerful PS-90A1 engines instead of PS-90A.
The Il-96-400M can carry up to 370 passengers. Large diameter of the fuselage provides modern day level of comfort for passengers during long flights. In terms of reliability, safety and effectiveness the Il-96-400M is on the level with world analogues.
Due to the usage of modern systems and “glass cockpit” the flight crew of the aircraft will consist of 3 people.
The aerodynamic configuration, design and aircraft systems employ state-of-the-art engineering solutions, which ensure high level of safety and effectiveness of aircraft operation. Modern materials used in the structure allow for decrease of aircraft weight, at the same time providing necessary integrity and stiffness.
